Back in 2006, the world was taken by sprinkle with The DaVinci Code. I enjoyed the book, hated the movie, got sick of the controversy. In the midst of all that, I wrote an editorial that I tried to get published in the Tennessean. However, I fear it was too little, too late. They didn’t accept it. I stored it in the forgotten files on my computer. This morning, I was reminded of it and decided, “Hey, I’m a blogger! Who needs a newspaper?” I know the firestorm is over and nobody really cares about Dan Brown anymore, but I want my day in the sun. Hope you enjoy my expose entitled, “The Dan Brown Code.” Also, stay with it to the end, and you’ll see the real message Leonardo da Vinci was including in his masterpiece, “The Last Supper.”
Having moved to Indiana from Tennessee, I get a lot of snickers when I say, “How y’all doing?” We have a birthday and anniversary celebration at our house each month for the members of the congregation who had birthdays and anniversaries. Everyone laughs when I sing, “Happy birthday to y’all. Happy birthday to y’all. Happy birthday to all y’all. Happy birthday to y’all.” But now I have biblical proof that y’all really should be considered a word.
Come on! Really? Has that line ever worked?
