It’s been a while since I’ve posted just some good clean fun. Check out one of the newest Rhett and Link videos. Link is trying to get a job and needs Rhett to give a him a good reference. But he makes the mistake of asking Rhett to be honest and just be himself. You’ll love it.
I guess I missed the best opportunity to share this song. But since it is still July and I still hear fireworks being shot off in Brownsburg after I’ve put the kids to bed, maybe it is still appropriate for our day of good clean fun.
Enjoy Rhett and Link’s tribute to all the amateur fireworks guys (this is not to be seen as a comment on the amazing fireworks display seen at the Mizell’s a few weeks ago).
The Fallen Founding Fathers of the Freelance Fireworks Hall of Fame
Hello internet. I’m back in the saddle and now residing in Indiana. I’ve missed you all, but now that July is here, it is time to get back to the web. What better way to start than with a Fun Friday.
Check out one of my favorite commercials from Rhett and Link today and I’ll see you Monday to get started again discussing how God’s way works.
Have a great weekend. For my readers in the United States, have a happy Independence Day!
Finally Friday. Let’s sit back, relax and have a little good clean fun.
I must admit, as an avid coffee drinker, this is one of my greatest fears. I remember a high school teacher who could knock you down at 10 feet because of the coffee gas coming from his mouth. In fact, I think I need a breath mint right now.
Enjoy as Rhett and Link pass on a public service announcement about your mouth.
Thanks so much for keeping up with this blog. I definitely hope it is helpful and is giving you a boost in many ways.
I just wanted to check in and let you know what’s going on with me and why the posting is so sporadic right now. Basically, I’m overwhelmed with stuff. I have a major lesson to present tomorrow night that is taking a lot of research and study time. I am preaching a series in Ohio beginning on Sunday and then in Indiana beginning on next Friday. On top of that, I’m officially behind on preparing some class material for a class I’m beginning to teach the first of December. And additionally, trying to get “Getting to Did” ready for publishing. Basically, something has to give.
Don’t worry. I’ll be back in full swing in a couple of weeks and if I can find time I’ll put up some posts here. I just didn’t want you worrying about me. I’m still in the land of the living.
As a token of my desire to keep posting, let me give you another one of those hilarious Rhett and Link local commercials.
Okay, so today’s Springboard for Your Professional Life is a break from the serialization of “Getting to Did.” And the reason it is a break is the subject for today’s springboard.
The computer on which I wrote the book crashed a few weeks ago. No big deal. I have the whole book on my jump drive. Regrettably, I can’t find my jump drive.
OOPS!
This could be anywhere from a minor annoyance to a major setback. Pray its the former.
Anyway, my problem might be your great lesson. Always have a back up. And, just in case, back up your back up, especially if your back up becomes your main copy.
This could be truly bad.
By the way, the family and I are taking a much needed break over the next week. At first I was going to try to do double work this week and have scheduled posts for next. However, my real job was piling up this week and I haven’t even had time to do the work for this week, thus you didn’t get a post from Kelsey’s poem yesterday.
I’ve decided it is okay for me to take a break. I’ll be back with more great Springboards on June 8.
I’ll go ahead and throw in a fun springboard as well while you’re waiting.
I actually got to play this game on Memorial day. I had thought this song was a complete joke until I found out people really play this. It was actually kind of fun.
Marita and I are thinking about going camping with the kids over their spring break. I sure am glad I was able to see Rusty Barefoot and Larnold Jernigan’s camping advice video. I think you’ll learn a lot from it too.
